Master the City is my mini workshop on the road. A small group, a real couple dressed to the nines, and the most recognizable spots in the city. You shoot the whole time, and you go home with destination portraits that make couples think you fly in for weddings.

- No lights? No problem. I bring plenty of Westcott lighting for you to use, and I walk you through every setup until you get it right in camera.

We start about 90 minutes before sunset so you get every kind of light in one session. Start times below are local and set to each city's sunset.

I'm Michelle Harris. I've photographed 700+ weddings and I've been teaching photographers how to shoot, book and grow for years. My couples have been featured in Martha Stewart Weddings, People and The New York Times.
In 2027 I’m on the road with Styled Shoots Across America, so I’m bringing Master the City to every tour stop. It runs the Monday night of each tour week, and it’s my own event, hosted and taught by me.
I’m also a Westcott Top Pro, and lighting is what I’ll be teaching after dark. I bring plenty of Westcott lights for you to use that night, so if you don’t own any lighting yet, that’s fine. Just bring your camera.
Master the City is where I get to do my favorite thing: take a small group into a new city, hand them a gorgeous couple and an iconic backdrop, and show them how I shoot it from golden hour into the night.

Good to know.
Do I need to know off-camera lighting already?
No. That's the point of the night. I walk you through every setup and help you get it right in camera. If you already light, you'll get a ton of reps on a real city backdrop.
What should I bring?
Your camera and the lenses you love, extra batteries and cards, and comfortable shoes. You don't need to own any lighting. I bring plenty of Westcott lights for attendees to use. If you have your own flash or light and want to learn it, bring it too.
Who are the models?
A real couple in each city, styled in a designer gown with professional hair and makeup and a fresh bouquet.

Each city's two spots and the exact meeting point are emailed to you after you book, along with parking tips.
Is this part of Styled Shoots Across America?
No. I’m traveling with the Styled Shoots Across America tour in 2027, and Master the City is my own separate night in each tour city, on the Monday of tour week. You don’t need an SSAA ticket to come, and if you’re already going to SSAA, this is an easy add-on while you’re in town.
Can I come to more than one city?
Yes. Each ticket is for one city night, so buy one ticket per city you want.
What time does it start?
About 90 minutes before sunset, so the start time changes by city and date. Charleston 4 PM, Houston 4:30 PM, Philadelphia 4:30 PM, Washington DC 6 PM, Portland 6 PM and Nashville 6 PM, all local time.
